Installing a New Roof Drain
in Falls Church, Virginia
In construction restoration projects, the roof is often a priority. When you notice any leaking on your roof, there is a good chance the issue might’ve existed for a while. All types of roofs need attention. A well-maintained roof gives the peace of mind that all property owners need.
But a flat roof can be very problematic if the draining system is not performing its best; it can cause flood cracks, blisters, and leaking which can weaken the structure of the building. Maintenance is also essential since the drains can get easily clogged up.
Here at Trusted Veterans Restoration, we tackle problems with our best effort no matter the issue, big or small. We’re always more than happy to solve any restoration problems in our community.
Draining Problem in a Flat Roof
We got a call from Lakeside Plaza Condo in Falls Church, Virginia. The customer communicated with us about a roof leaking issue that caused damage to the building.
Usually, when we do the first inspection of the site, there is a chance that some damages were overlooked because of inaccessibility. But in this project, the drain was the only thing that needed to be taken care of. Even flat roofs are not completely flat, they’re slightly sloped towards the drain to form a canal for the water.
Luckily there wasn’t much pooled water formed on the roof, so we were able to quickly start replacing the damaged drain. Even though there can be a drain anywhere in the roof, for it to work the best it should be in the lowest point of the roof.
Next, we removed the bricks and cleaned the area so we could get a clear look at what was the issue. It was also important to remove as little material as possible so that we were not causing more damage than there already was.
Replacing the drain was a piece of cake once the preparation was done properly. After everything was completed we tested it by using a water hose and saw that the water drained nicely.
A Nice and Dry Roof
For a commercial building, maintaining a nice roof is a top priority, especially for tenants who are living on the top floor. If the leaking is serious, there is a high possibility that the tenants’ property will get damaged and the building’s structure may be weakened which will, in turn, become a major construction project and cost a fortune.
Thanks to our expert team the problem was quickly fixed at Lakeside Plaza Condo in Falls Church, Virginia. Our customers acknowledged our expertise and they were more than happy to introduce Trusted Veterans Restoration to other business owners and to their friends.
