Insurance Paid for New Roof, Siding, and a New Fence in Leesburg Virginia

Recently, one of our inspection experts was on the way back from a job in Leesburg after a client called and requested our help. Along the way, in a completely different neighborhood, our inspection expert noticed a property that had a bit of trouble with its roof and a couple of rough spots on its siding.

Not sure if the issue was related to storm damage or something else entirely we decided to stop and talk to the homeowner, knocking on the door only after double-checking that it wasn’t all that close to dinnertime and we wouldn’t be disturbing anyone.

The homeowner answered, we offered our business card, and told them that we’d love to have a closer look at the damage that we spotted from the street. They let us know that they were well aware of the damage but didn’t have the money on hand to tackle the problem right now, even though they were nervous about things getting worse in the meantime.

We let the homeowner know that their insurance may be able to completely cover the repairs that we would be able to handle for them – at no out-of-pocket cost to them at all. They were surprised to discover this, eager and excited that we would be willing to offer a free inspection and speak to their insurance company on their behalf.

That got the ball rolling and before we knew it we were up to our elbows in another Trusted Veterans Renovation project.

New Roof

Everything started with a detailed inspection (like every one of our jobs) and we discovered that the roof wasn’t just superficially damaged but that it was structurally damaged as well.

This required a total rip-off and replacement, something that we got started on straightaway as you need your roof to be strong, stable, and reliable – or the rest of your home becomes a safety hazard.

We worked quickly, were able to tear everything off without disturbing the interior of the home (working in sections), and had a brand-new roof on top of the home faster than the homeowners ever could have expected!

New Siding

From there, we jump right into tackling the siding that had become damaged as well.

This went really quickly as there wasn’t quite as much damage here as there was on the roof, and we were able to color match the already existing vinyl siding so that everything looked new, everything looked fresh, but the home didn’t look completely different (aside from the addition of dark blue shutters).

And a New Fence!

The homeowner was also really pleasantly surprised to learn that their insurance was also willing to cover the costs of a brand-new fence as well.

Our experts carefully measured everything, created a fence that offered plenty of privacy and security, and added a whole lot of extra value to this home – again without the homeowners ever having to pay a penny out of pocket.
